Round the hooses  Its only a mile from the hub to Grangemouth Sports Stadium. This stadium is an amazing local asset that nearly closed down, unlike the hub its still under threat of closure. Some of our initial projects are going to be: Building raised beds and planters to get some food growing Making a rock garden Building some benches for seating Getting some polytunnels put up Starting the groundwork for some biodiversity gardens Planting our...

The Gathering

Music at the Hub  For months now, we have had a young band coming in to practice on Thursday nights. This band, called Polar Opposit, struggles with access to instruments and equipment, so we help them as much as we can, as they are continually growing and improving. We are looking to scale this help up very soon by among other things - starting a sharing library for musical instruments and equipment that our community can use. We have already begun this initiative. Several singers and guitarists have borrowed our speakers and mics, and we’ve also hosted choirs for practice. Additionally, there have been many parties and events where the organisers have asked to borrow equipment. Which we have always obliged in sharing what we have As we approached Soup Night, we hoped that the young band practicing on Thursdays would submit a project for funding to kickstart the sharing library. Unfortunately, they were too busy working on their playlist for their first-ever gig at Soup Nig...
