Everybody hates Litter The big Forth cleanup event weekend will take place from August 28th to 30th, 2026. The hub is marked on the map as we aim to tackle pollution in our estuary. While we have not finalised all the arrangements yet due to our focus on the various water management, capture, and storage issues we are designing in at the hub, we are also addressing the pollution in our local rivers. So we want to be part of this worthwhile campaign, more info here Keep Scotland Beautiful will be at the hub on Saturday, August 29th, to host an interactive and entertaining water life cycle demonstration. There may also be a visit from Flo, the emergency flood bus in Scotland, organised by Falkirk District Council’s resilience team. The council's recycling and waste team will also be in attendance. HOPE Six inspirational environmental films over 6 Weeks followed with Discussion and Action Starts Wednesday 19th of August 2026 7-9pm Hope! Is a documentary series rooted in active optimism. It amplifies the stories of communities worldwide who are regenerating the planet and building a more just future. Filmed across 17 countries on 4 continents, it gathers over 40 solutions already having a positive impact on Earth. The Hub has been given permission from the international transition network, to screen the film series for free to our community, o Each Session will start with a film. All films are around an hour long. As the films highlight inspiration from across the globe, all films include multiple languages and are subtitled. o The films will spark conversation. What You'll Find out at the hubs Wee (this year) Festival Our festival will feature knowledge-sharing sessions. On our community's shared purpose.Polmontfest will be a day for the Community to come together at this free event. This is its opening year and one we hope to grow and become an annual event. This will be a fun day with lots of things to do for all of the family, and Music to lift you up! We have stalls from various organisations and Music to entertain all. We will have an interactive music session from Music Broth. Come along and play an instrument, children will be encouraged to 'make some noise!' Help will be on hand to guide and inspire.
